I just found my poetry book from one hundred years ago (or may be 15..), and I just wanted to share a few things from there. How to love the one whose one is not you, How to make your friends understand, You are not a crazy person because of it, but yet you and him still aren’t through. For this love I am paying a high price. Cause when I get home at night, I can’t see which key to use, through the tears in my eyes. I try to cut my way to my heart, Just to tell it to stop loving you. To make it change its ways, to make it easier for our ways to part. I know responding this way is wrong, Every morning after I realise that. Disappointed, wishing my scars, did not stick around so long. You can’t possibly feel the same way about me, You know it, I know it, You have told me a couple of times, but the underlying reasons differ. You can’t possibly feel the same way about me, If you do not know how to love. If you do not know how to receive love, How could you ever believe in love? How unfair must this cupid be, For shooting his arrow towards me, hitting, but then missing his next target. How can love be so unkind? I have so much to offer, but yet it will all be wasted, Every bit of love is tainted, with the knowledge that you don’t love me back. why can’t you just love me...…You can’t possibly feel the same way about me, You know it, I know it, You have told me a couple of times, but the underlying reasons differ. If love is the greatest thing in the world, Why has it been feeling like the worst? Just asking for a friend. If making love is the ultimate way of becoming one, Why is it often the start of goodbye? Again, just asking for a friend. My friend would also like to know, Why the guy is holding her hand so perfectly, When we are outside, is it just for show? My friend wonders about that hand, Cause that is an act of the heart, The same heart that cast her out. What it really comes down to is this, Does love need to be easy? I have now purchased 4 mattresses for my 2 girls and I agonized over the purchase of each one. Seriously…. hours upon hours in front of a computer screen comparing mattresses and reviews. I knew without a doubt I wanted as chemical free as possible. I am a mom terrified of SIDS. I had every breathing, video baby monitor I could buy at the time, and through their false alarms and all: I couldn’t relax without them. So it was July 4th, and I was working a 24 hour shift at the hospital. While I work this shift, my husband is on full duty during that time. Lena is a rambunctious 2 year old and gets into everything. She also went through a considerable length of time where she liked to put pretty much anything into her mouth… crayons, sidewalk chalk, random food bits from the floor, toys, beads, rocks, sand, etc.  Over the months many many toy accessories had to be removed from their toy collection and put in a box in the top shelf of our kitchen .. and the box was getting full.  We found it...…So it was July 4th, and I was working a 24 hour shift at the hospital.
