Firefighters tackle blaze for more than nine hours
Firefighters tackled a blaze which was ongoing since the early hours of this morning (May 5) in a town near Bath. At 2.13am, Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue were called to Church Street in Bradford-on-Avon to reports of a roof fire. Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue say that at the height of the incident, seven fire engines were at the scene. Firefighters used hose reels, main lines and light portable pumps to try and extinguish the fire. Firefighters were able to salvage belongings from the property. Two arrested after thefts of e-bikes worth £20K
Two men have been arrested in connection with the thefts of e-bikes. Police in Winsley, near Bradford-on-Avon, Wiltshire, have confirmed that one man aged 35 and another aged 29 were arrested after officers received information about e-bikes being stolen from an address the village. Two men are understood to have used bolt cutters to cut the lock before loading the three e-bikes worth £20,000 into the back of a van and driving off. The incident took place on Thursday May 2. The A303 Eastbound has reopened following a crash near Stonehenge. A man has died suddenly on the A303, police have said. Emergency services rushed to the busy road near Stonehenge, in Wiltshire, where a man, aged in his 50s was pronounced dead. A police incident was reported on the A-road, between Amesbury and Bulford shortly before 10am today, Tuesday, April 30. A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said the man's death is not believed to be suspicious. The road was closed in both directions while emergency services were at the scene. Yeovil's existing stroke services will not be reduced until their replacements over the border in Dorset are ready, health bosses have confirmed.
