The crash, which took place at around 7.50pm yesterday (October 5), left the road closed in the Weston-super-Mare-bound direction until around 3am today (October 6). Avon and Somerset Police said the crash involved one motorcycle and a bollard. The bike rider, a man in his 60s, was taken to hospital with potentially life changing injuries. According to an update from traffic monitor Inrix, the A370 was closed between Chelvey Batch to Brockley Combe Road at around 8.15pm on Thursday. It was reopened in the early hours of this morning after police officers had carried out investigation work. A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said: "Emergency services attended the scene of a single-vehicle collision near the Brockley crossroads on the A370. "Police were called just before 7.50pm on Thursday, October 5. A motorcyclist - a man in his 60s - was taken to hospital with potentially life-changing injuries following a collision with a bollard.
