Style Sunday: The One With The Yellow Pants…

Style Sunday: The One With The Yellow Pants…

Hey y’all! Its been a long time since Ive posted a Style Sunday because. you know… global pandemic LOL. Literally all the places I’ve ventured to in the last 18 months or so have required my standard uniform of black leggings and hoodie or ripped jeans and t shirt! The summer has been super nice here where I live in Canada so I have been taking full advantage of patio season. On this particular day I went to lunch with a few friends to a restaurant in Toronto called “Patois”. I didn’t really enjoy what I ordered but my friend got these lychee and shrimp lettuce wraps… so delish! 8/10...

While You Wait…

While You Wait…

“And I vow to praise you, though the good and the badIll praise you, whether happy or sadill praise you, in all that I go through Because praise is what I’ll doCause I owe it all to you” That’s the space I’ve been in for the last year y’all. Life has been “life-ing” but not in a bad way! The last time we spoke I was coming out a particularly hard season and like with any level of trauma, there are stages to healing. Last year was the year I found myself again… or better yet found myself in Christ again. I took the year to remind myself of my identity as an heir of the Almighty. A healing...

Why I Quit Blogging…(For 18 Months)

Why I Quit Blogging…(For 18 Months)

Guys, the amount of times I have written and re written this post is obnoxious. I tried back in MARCH 2020 y’all to come on here and continue this blogging journey… but I just couldn’t. My last post was Christmas 2019 and if you’ve been a long time reader, you could just tell that something was off. The post wasn’t giving what it was supposed to give. I honestly just wrote it because I was on a “schedule” and it was Christmas so I definitely had to do something… right? Little did I know that a few days later the enemy would send the biggest attack he’s ever sent my way in the form of hurt,...

Elderflower Cordial Recipe - Vegan on Board

Elderflower Cordial Recipe - Vegan on Board

× Jump to Recipe90 CommentsSharePinThe most refreshing drink. Ever! Heavenly flowery and tangy. Our homemade elderflower cordial is perfect with sparkling water on a summer day.Every spring we make a huge batch of this elderflower cordial to last us the whole year. The ritual of picking elderflowers and filling the house (or our campervan) with their blossomy scent is a tradition that celebrates spring.Homemade elderflower cordial is much tastier than store bought. This cordial is more tangy and floral, and less syrupy sweet. And it’s such a fun thing to make. (It’s always great fun to make...

Vegan Apple Cake - Vegan on Board

Vegan Apple Cake - Vegan on Board

× Jump to Recipe5 CommentsSharePinThis vegan apple cake is wholesome and rustic. It’s wonderfully moist, full of apples, cinnamon and spice. And it has a deliciously crunchy nut streusel crumble topping. The perfect fall bake! Table of ContentsWe love to celebrate the arrival of apple season with a big wedge of this vegan apple cake! It’s perfect for using up those wonky looking and windfall apples that you don’t want to go to waste. The cake is not overly sweet, uses wholemeal flour and plenty of apples so it’s got a wholesome, almost healthy, feel to it. I’ve just enjoyed a...

Potato and Lentil Dahl with Spinach

Potato and Lentil Dahl with Spinach

× Jump to Recipe23 CommentsSharePinThis potato and lentil dahl is a quick one pot meal. Ready in 25 mins on the stove or just 15 mins if you use a pressure cooker. It's simple, spicy and nourishing!Aren’t one pot meals great? They are perfect when you are limited on cooking space (like we are in our campervan), energy efficient and require less washing up! We think the key to a good one pot meal is that it ticks all those nutrition and flavour boxes. In our onepot dahl the potatoes give you the carbs, the lentils the protein, and the spices the rich taste. The addition of raisins gives...

This fragrant Thai coconut soup with veggies and tofu or vegan chicken is plenty tasty, but super easy to make in just 15 minutes!Table of ContentsWhen I was living in Vienna and sharing a flat, my friends and I had takeout Thai food on many occasions.
