CoxHealth president, CEO suggests on Twitter shelter-in place order for Springfield area
The president and CEO of CoxHealth believes the Springfield area should join Kansas City and St. Louis with a "shelter-in place" order.Steve Edwards tweeted the suggestion on Twitter late Saturday. "It’s time to act Springfield and Greene County, mandate shelter in place," tweeted Edwards Saturday. "In an epidemic we are generally making decisions two week behind. COVID-19 cases top 3,500 in Missouri, 77 deaths reported
More than 3,500 positive cases of COVID-19 and 77 deaths have been reported in Missouri, according to the Missouri Department of Health & Senior Services.As of Thursday, the state has reported 77 people who tested positive from COVID-19 in Missouri have died, a jump from 58 reported on Wednesday. The state reported more than 200 new cases as of Thursday, a jump from 3,327 to 3,539. Nearly 38,000 people have been tested, according to DHSS. Gov. Parson extends Missouri's stay-at-home order to May 3
Missouri's stay-at-home order has been extended to May 3, according to Gov. Mike Parson. The state's stay-at-home order went into effect April 6 and was set to expire April 24. Gov. Man shot, killed after altercation in Crane; Suspect arrested by Stone County, Mo. authorities
