Member of Missouri House tests positive for COVID-19
A member of the House of Representatives has tested positive for the coronavirus, according to several state leaders. Leaders have requested all employees and visitors to stay out of the Capitol for at least the next 10 days. Speaker of the House Elijah Haahr (R-Springfield) and other leaders have issued the following joint statement regarding a confirmed COVID-19 case in the Capitol:“We have recently learned a member of the House of Representatives has tested positive for the coronavirus. COVID-19 cases top 3,500 in Missouri, 77 deaths reported
More than 3,500 positive cases of COVID-19 and 77 deaths have been reported in Missouri, according to the Missouri Department of Health & Senior Services.As of Thursday, the state has reported 77 people who tested positive from COVID-19 in Missouri have died, a jump from 58 reported on Wednesday. The state reported more than 200 new cases as of Thursday, a jump from 3,327 to 3,539. Nearly 38,000 people have been tested, according to DHSS. Gov. Parson extends Missouri's stay-at-home order to May 3
Missouri's stay-at-home order has been extended to May 3, according to Gov. Mike Parson. The state's stay-at-home order went into effect April 6 and was set to expire April 24. Gov. Parson and Missouri leaders will monitor the state's situation from now to May 4 before determining when the state could re-open. The state will work with hospitals, health care providers, public health experts, business leaders, and state departments to develop a plan. Gas prices continue to plummet during the coronavirus pandemic. Drivers can now fill up for less than $1 per gallon at some Springfield gas stations. A second Great Clips hair stylist in Springfield has tested positive for COVID-19, according the Springfield-Greene County Health Department. This comes one day after health leaders another Great Clips hair stylist worked several days while symptomatic. Both employees work at the location at 1864 S.
