Crews have brought a wildfire west of Hanceville under control. Discovered Friday, May 3, the suspected human-caused fire is located 1.1km northwest of Zenzaco Creek, near the community of Tletinqox (Anaham) is an estimated to be 133 hecatres. There is still a full response underway by the BC Wildfire Service to fully suppress the fire. which is projected, based on fuel and weather conditions and resource availability, to remain within the current perimeter. Clearwater RCMP are searching for a suspect in the break-in of a vehicle of two sisters in their 60s on April 30 at Latremouille Lake off Highway 24 about 16.5 kilometres from Little Fort, B.C. Sgt. Grant Simpson, detachment commander of the Clearwater RCMP said that the suspect is known to the police and understands the public is concerned and frustrated by this incident. The suspect is described as 6’2” tall with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen driving a white pickup truck missing a tailgate with a woman in the vehicle with him.
