Clearwater RCMP are searching for a suspect in the break-in of a vehicle of two sisters in their 60s on April 30 at Latremouille Lake off Highway 24 about 16.5 kilometres from Little Fort, B.C. Sgt. Grant Simpson, detachment commander of the Clearwater RCMP said that the suspect is known to the police and understands the public is concerned and frustrated by this incident. Wells Gray Search and Rescue hosts Southern Interior Rope training
Wells Gray Search and Rescue hosted 62 Southern Interior Rope Exercise (SIRE) participants from 24 separate SAR teams across B.C. on April 27 and 28. The Saturday and Sunday training event took place near the Raft Rim Campground. Teams from around the province tested their skills with equipment provided by ClimbOn, TNT and Coast Ropes. Gateway Grill catered for the event and the group thanked the community for being mindful of their training area during the weekend event.
