Fall is in the air, and I’m trying my best to hold onto it for as long as I can; meteorologists keep saying that we’re going to have a long Winter which means any day now we can expect Fall to be over and Winter to begin. One of my favorite things to do when the air turns crisp is to bake and to cook. My Grandma Sugar’s apple pie is a must! I was lucky enough to score some free apples from one of the ladies at work and knew immediately that I would be making my grandmother’s pie recipe. Stormy weather often makes for a great opportunity to get some great photos. We had a good thunderstorm roll through this morning; thankfully it wasn’t strong enough to cause any damage – it looked more bad ass (excuse my language) than it really was. My better half was on his way to work and was able to snap these two images. I was a little bummed that I was stuck in our our neighborhood at the time – you can’t see anything but tree tops from our front window. Maybe next time I’ll be able to sneak away and get some shots of the next good thunderstorm, but for now I’ll enjoy these beauties...…Stormy weather often makes for a great opportunity to get some great photos. Lately my Facebook memories have been showing me pictures of vacations I’ve taken to Florida. They are such fun memories filled with so much laughter! I’ll never forget the first time I saw The Gulf – I had just graduated from high school and a group of friends and myself flew down to Florida for a week to visit my cousin, it was the BEST, she took us straight from the airport to the beach. I had never seen so much water and blue sky meet; it created a never ending horizon that was simply amazing!
