Hit & Run Suspect Captured; Faces Charges of DWI, Meth Possession
Pettis County Jail - Chub CheOn Monday night, Sedalia Poice responded to 14th and Marvin for a hit-and-run accident with a suspect fleeing on foot. Police located the subject, identified as 31-year-old Julio Chub Che of Sedalia, at 14th and Montgomery, where he was detained. Investigation revealed that the driver was intoxicated.Chub Che was arrested and transported to the SPD, where he provided a breath sample that showed his blood alcohol content was above .08. Wednesday evening, Officers were dispatched to Housel Park, 109 East Howard Street, for a report of vandalism that had just occurred. Upon arrival, it was discovered that a hole was made in the roof of the shelter near the basketball court. At the 23-minute mark, Jackson scored a goal assisted by senior Traven Wheeler. Local Businessman Decides to Kick In $16,800 to Make Water Tower Logo Project A Reality
After reading a story about Sedalia City Council voting down the water tower logo project Monday night, local businessman Russell Childers decided to step up and donate the remainder of the cost ($16,800) to make the project a reality. Childers notified KSIS Radio of his decision just before 7:30 Thursday morning. Childers said he read a story on KSIS Radio Tuesday morning and another story, which was an editorial by Director of Content Rob Creighton on Wednesday, before deciding it was the right thing to do through his RAC-JAC company. Versailles Man Injured in UTV Rollover in Morgan County
A Versailles man was injured in a one-vehicle accident that occurred Monday night in Morgan County. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a westbound 2021 Can Am X3RR UTV, driven by 40-year-old Corey J. Brewer of Versailles, was on Fresno Road, approximately 120 feet east of Seals Road (near Gravois Mills) just after 8 p.m., when the driver lost control due to rough terrain and the UTV overturned. This type of UTV is capable of speeds in excess of 60 mph, it should be noted. Leeton Motorcyclist Injured in Windsor
A Leeton man was injured when his motorcycle struck another vehicle in Windsor on Monday evening. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a westbound 2023 Kawasaki Ninja, driven by 24-year-old Cody E. Riordan of Leeton, was at Main and Colt streets in Windsor around 6:45 p.m., when Riordan crossed the center of the roadway and struck the passenger side of another vehicle (unidentified in the report). Riordan suffered moderate injuries and was transported by PCAD to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital for treatment. The Kawaski was totaled and towed by Gary's Tow.
