BSL Shaders for Minecraft 1.18.1

BSL Shaders for Minecraft 1.18.1

Any player of the popular game Minecraft would have to admit that the standard lighting effects leave a lot to be desired when it comes to realism. While realistic graphics are not a part of the world design in the game, the smooth lighting and graphic effects, even when set to their highest level, aren’t exactly the best they could be. The graphics could use just a touch of realism to add to the game’s atmosphere, and its overall aesthetic appeal. When it comes to embellishing the graphics of the game, shaders are the way to go. Especially the BSL Shaders. This shader pack stands out for...

Sonic Ether’s Unbelievable Shaders for Minecraft 1.18.1(SEUS)

Sonic Ether’s Unbelievable Shaders for Minecraft 1.18.1(SEUS)

A defining feature of Minecraft is its visual aesthetic. The block style and simplistic graphics are now synonymous with the game and give it a retro gaming feel. The simple styling and play make the game easily accessible and popular across a broad demographic but, what do you do when it no longer satisfies you and eventually starts to irritate you? There is a solution, Sonic Ethers Unbelievable Shaders. Sonic Ether’s Unbelievable Shaders, or simply SEUS, completely transforms the games graphics and takes Minecraft to a whole new level. This shader pack brings the game to life by...

A multiplier peroxiporin signal transduction pathway powers piscine spermatozoa

A multiplier peroxiporin signal transduction pathway powers piscine spermatozoa

Edited by Mariana F. Wolfner, Cornell University, Ithaca, NY, and approved January 26, 2021 (received for review September 17, 2020)Spermatozoon swimming performance is critical for fertilization success in fishes, yet the cellular mechanisms that regulate this vital trait are poorly understood. Here, we discovered that a water channel protein, acting as an H2O2 channel (peroxiporin) to detoxify the mitochondria, directly regulates the velocity and progressive motility of both freshwater and marine spermatozoa. The mitochondrial insertion of the peroxiporin is controlled by an increasingly...

Self-reported health without clinically measurable benefits among adult users of multivitamin and multimineral supplements: a cross-sectional study

Self-reported health without clinically measurable benefits among adult users of multivitamin and multimineral supplements: a cross-sectional study

Article TextNutrition and metabolismOriginal researchSelf-reported health without clinically measurable benefits among adult users of multivitamin and multimineral supplements: a cross-sectional studyObjective Multiple clinical trials fail to identify clinically measurable health benefits of daily multivitamin and multimineral (MVM) consumption in the general adult population. Understanding the determinants of widespread use of MVMs may guide efforts to better educate the public about effective nutritional practices. The objective of this study was to compare self-reported and clinically...

Reliable tumor detection by whole-genome methylation sequencing of cell-free DNA in cerebrospinal fluid of pediatric medulloblastoma

Reliable tumor detection by whole-genome methylation sequencing of cell-free DNA in cerebrospinal fluid of pediatric medulloblastoma

Medulloblastoma (MB), the most common form of pediatric brain malignancy, has a low frequency of oncogenic mutations but pronouncedly abnormal DNA methylation changes. Epigenetic analysis of circulating cell-free tumor DNA (ctDNA) by liquid biopsy offers an approach for real-time monitoring of tumor status without tumor dissection. In this study, we identified 6598 differentially methylated CpGs in both MB tumors and the ctDNA isolated from matched cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) compared with normal cerebellum, which could be used to detect MB tumor occurrence and determine its subtype....

Plummeting Renewable Energy, Battery Prices Mean China Could Hit 62% Clean Power And Cut Costs 11% By 2030

BETAThis is a BETA experience. You may opt-out by Aug 10, 2020,China is the world’s largest greenhouse gas emitter, and is building the most power plants of any country in the world, making its decarbonization paramount to preventing dangerous climate change. But the costs of wind, solar, and energy storage have fallen so fast that building clean power is now cheaper than building fossil fuels – a lot cheaper.plummeting clean energy prices mean China could reliably run its grids on at least 62% non-fossil electricity generation by 2030, while cutting costs 11% compared to a...
