Winter makes brief return with Monday snow

In fact, Eau Claire has only received 0.1" of measurable snow this month, and it fell on March 1. While March isn't always a snowy month for us, it is on average our third snowiest month behind January and December.There is snow in the forecast, though. Eau Claire City Council, County Board to consider local mask mandate
EAU CLAIRE (WQOW)- The City of Eau Claire and Eau Claire County are considering a local mask mandate, which would only go into effect if the current state-wide mandate is not extended.Both the Eau Claire County Committee on Administration and City-County board of health voted in a joint meeting Tuesday to recommend the ordinance to the city council and county board, who will both take up the ordinance individually.City-County Health Director Lieske Giese said this ordinance would be almost identical to the current state-level mandate, which is set to expire on January 19.
