ARCO — A district judge rejected a plea agreement made between a prosecutor and a Soda Springs woman accused of having sexual relations with teenage boys. ISLAND PARK — Idaho State Police are investigating the death of a motorcyclist on U.S. Highway 20 at Red Rock Road in Island Park. The death occurred following a two-vehicle crash at 4:45 p.m. Saturday. Police reports show Curt Kellinger, 61, of Island Park, was stopped at the intersection of Red Rock Road and US-20, attempting to make a left turn onto eastbound US20 in a 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 pickup pulling a horse trailer. IDAHO FALLS — A Rexburg man will spend at least two years in prison after raping a pre-teen girl while camping at Palisades Reservoir in 2018. Stetson Tyler Perry, 26, was ordered to spend two to 17 years in prison by District Judge Dane H. Watkins after pleading guilty to the rape of a 12-year-old girl. According to court records, Perry was initially charged with lewd conduct with a minor, but Perry opted to take an Alford Plea for rape in January rather than take the case to trial. Man crashes, girl hospitalized after police pursuit reaches 100 mph - East Idaho News
ST. ANTHONY — An Ashton man was arrested following a high-speed chase that ended in a crash Thursday night. It began when a Fremont County Sheriff’s deputy driving westbound on U.S. Highway 20 near St. Anthony spotted a small car drive eastbound going 100 mph. Woman sentenced for threatening people with gun - East Idaho News
AMMON — An Ammon woman who pointed a gun at a man and a teen was in a lengthy standoff with police received a reduced charge Oct. 27. Stacy Dawn Quillen, 37, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor assault and threat to do violence, and District Judge Dane H. Watkins sentenced the woman to 97 days in jail. However, 90 days were suspended, and with two days of the time already served, Quillen was going to have to serve five days in jail. COVID-19 restrictions in the jail altered the sentence because the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office will not take inmates on such short stints. Man dies after being struck by train near Pocatello - East Idaho News
POCATELLO — A man is dead after being struck by a train near the Pocatello Regional Airport Monday night. The Power County Sheriff’s Office reports first responders found 41-year-old Ryan Thomas Smith struck by the Union Pacific Railroad train at around 8 p.m. His body was found on the tracks behind the Jet Stop truck stop. Thomas was from St. Louis, Missouri but traveling in the area, according to a news release. He had a dog with him who is still missing. Mia is a brown-colored pitbull.
