Waste Pro customers outraged as trash piles for two weeks

(WMC) - Waste Pro customers in Memphis are getting angrier and angrier.Their garbage has still not been picked up and they wonder if it will ever happen.“This mess keeps piling up out here. Police: Victim dead after shooting in parking lot of Memphis mall
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - Memphis police are investigating a now-deadly shooting outside Oak Court Mall in East Memphis.Officers on the scene told us the victim was shot in the parking lot while leaving Dillard’s department store and walking to his car.He was rushed to the hospital in critical condition but later died from his injuries.Investigators have Oak Court Drive shut down right now, the road running beside the mall off Poplar Avenue.Police say the suspect(s) were in a silver Toyota, possibly a Camry. Memphis man arrested in connection with riots at US Capitol

(WMC) - A Memphis man was arrested Friday for federal offenses allegedly committed at the U.S. Capitol Jan. 6.Matthew Bledsoe, 36, is charged with knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority and violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds.Bledsoe was arrested by agents with the FBI Memphis Field Office Friday morning. Nearly 8,400 total COVID-19 deaths reported in Tennessee
SHELBY COUNTY, Tenn. (WMC) - COVID-19 deaths are nearing 8,400 after the Tennessee Department of Health reported 36 additional deaths Sunday. Suspected DUI driver hits firetruck, police say

(WMC) - A woman is in police custody after a hit and run involving a fire truck, according to the Memphis Police Department.Around 4:15 p.m., MPD was made aware of a drunk driver at Getwell Rd. and Rhodes Ave.A firefighter said as he attempted to make a right turn on Rhodes Ave., a black sedan sideswiped his truck.The driver, 31-year-old Diatra Rhodes, left the scene then returned and told police that she was the person responsible.When officers noticed that Rhodes’ words were slurred and she couldn’t keep her balance, they administered her a sobriety test.She refused a...…MEMPHIS, Tenn. OXFORD, Miss. (AP) - A University of Mississippi student faces aggravated assault charges after police said he sprayed cleaner into the mouth of a fraternity pledge during a hazing ritual. A lawyer for the pledge says his client has serious injuries to his esophagus, can’t eat regularly and may have to undergo surgery. University police charged James Bowes Higgins with aggravated assault on Nov. 17 after the Oct. 11 incident at the Pi Kappa Alpha house.
