An Evansville father was arrested after showing up to school drunk. Police were called to Dexter Elementary School on Wednesday when Derek Clark attempted to pick his child up from school while extremely intoxicated. Clark was falling over as his child tried to help him walk. Police say Clark was grabbing a fence with both hands to maintain his balance. Governor Eric Holcomb and the Indiana Department of Natural Resources are celebrating a historical milestone. Over the last five years, one million trees have been planted throughout the state. The native trees were planted in state forests, state parks, fish & wildlife areas, and nature preserve land. As trees grow, they will create a habitat for wildlife and form a natural carbon storage solution.
