The missing 9-year-old Upstate New York girl who was believed to be abducted has been found alive and well.Authorities say Charlotte Sena was found in Milton, NY, north of Ballston Spa on Monday evening.Governor Hochul, speaking to Spectrum News, said that the young fourth grader who had been missing since Saturday night was found to be in good health, and was discovered after a ransom note had been sent. Mother's Day is usually a time for people to pick some flowers growing in the yard for mom, but is it possible that we could wind up getting snow and a winter storm on Mother's Day?  The answer is an absolute yes. Let's start by clarifying that the current Mother's Day forecast for Upstate New York - albeit still a week away - is rain showers and highs in the med to upper 50s. It doesn't look pleasant, but it doesn't look like snow is in our near future, although you never can tell. Mother's Day in 1996 saw a snow storm. Registration for the 2024 Boilermaker Walk is officially open and some big changes are coming to the beloved event. Mark Donovan, Boilermaker President, released exciting news on Tuesday. After polling participants of last year's Boilermaker Walk, the event is going to be updated to align itself better with the community's desires. New in 2024, the Boilermaker Walk will kick off even earlier than years before. Instead of its traditional start time at noon, the event will commence an hour earlier, at 11 a.m., after participants complained of the summer heat. This week I was noticing saw dust all over the floor of a shed I had recently built in my back yard. Where was the saw dust coming from? The first thing I thought was that we have drilled holes in the wood and carpenter ants are eating away at the wood. Then, as I was observing the holes, more sawdust was being pushed out of the holes. To make matters more curious, I have no memory of drilling these holes all over the rafters of the shed - and these holes look like they're almost perfectly circular.
