Current Tyed Swimwear Review: Stylish, Sun-Safe, and Kid-Approved - Simply Mom Bailey
As a parent, finding the perfect swimwear for your children that strikes a balance between style, comfort, and sun protection can sometimes be a challenge. It’s been easy for my son – we purchased Villervalla swim trunks for him like 4 years ago from Modern Rascals, and never looked back. But girl swimsuits are a different beast and trying to find the right one that she’ll love and I’ll love, and that holds up has been a challenge. That’s why I want to share my experience with Current Tyed swimwear, a Canadian kids clothing brand I discovered for my shop – Nest & Sprout in Prince George,...…As a parent, finding the perfect swimwear for your children that strikes a balance between style, comfort, and sun protection can sometimes be a challenge. Cut the Crap - a new book on cloth diapering - Simply Mom Bailey
Today I’m excited to share that there is a new cloth diaper book on the market written by Cecile! As you might know, I wrote a book on cloth diapering a few years ago – and while this might feel like competition, to me it’s not. It’s a fantastic opportunity to expand our niche and offer more choices in learning about cloth diapering. Wouldn’t it be amazing to have an entire shelf about cloth diapering in a local library or book store? This book was a kickstarter project that has closed – look forward to seeing it come to market in the months to come.❮❮ Previous...…Today I’m excited to share that there is a new cloth diaper book on the market written by Cecile! Nest & Sprout is a Service - Simply Mom Bailey
A friend stopped into the shop this weekend, and our conversation still sits with me. She had been an integral part of my early days in motherhood, and we chatted about how what the shop is not about the product but about the service. And it’s that service of retail that I need to sit down and connect with each of my team members. I really don’t want people to buy more stuff. But I really believe they need spaces to learn what to buy and how to use it. We’ve lost a lot of informal sharing of knowledge in the worlds we live in – and with all my heart, we need that...…A friend stopped into the shop this weekend, and our conversation still sits with me. From Garden to Pantry: A Year of Growing and Preserving Green Beans - Simply Mom Bailey
In the world of gardening, there are those who love every moment spent with their plants, and then there are those who do it out of necessity. This year, my goal was simple: grow enough green beans to keep our pantry stocked for the winter. In the past, I’d resorted to buying and canning 20-40 pounds of beans, which usually lasted us through the year. But this time, I was determined to rely on our garden alone.I’ve planted green beans int he past with much success – last year we took a garden hiatus with the new business but this year I figured I could do it.
