All three ice crossings in the Beaufort Delta are now on closure notice. An update was published by the GNWT on May 5. As of 11:03 a.m., the Peel River Ice Crossing is on 72 hours notice. A home on Bonnetplume Road was subject to an early morning police search. Inuvik RCMP say they acted on a search warrant early May 5, 2024 with the assistance of the Northwest Territories Emergency Response Team. East Three School’s second annual Alfred Moses Memorial Five-on-Five Basketball Tournament hit the courts April 12 and 13 in Inuvik, drawing athletes from across the Beaufort Delta.
