Work started on £2.5m creative arts hub
Work has started on a new £2.5m creative arts hub in Loughborough. The Generator project has been a long term vision to turn Loughborough's old art college into a creative hub for the town. The project, based on Frederick Street, aims to transform a major derelict 1930s building in Loughborough into a creative space. Volunteers behind the project said it will include workspace for creative businesses, a restaurant/café, a multi-media arts space for live performances and a venue for exhibitions and corporate events. Leicestershire’s Martine Croxall has lost part of her legal action case against the BBC on equal pay grounds.
