First Saturday celebrates ten years in Kimberley this summer

This summer is the tenth anniversary of First Saturdays in Kimberley, and the organizing committee has put together a tentative lineup for the first Saturday of July, August, September and October. Each Saturday there will be live entertainment in the Platzl. Bands lined up include Take Four, Clanna Morna and Kootenay Lately. There will also be free evening concerts with Brass Roots on July 6 and Mile High Club on September 7. City of Kimberley on Stage 2 Water Restrictions as of May 2

Effective as of May 2, the City of Kimberley has made the decision to enter Stage 2 Water Restrictions. In a press release City staff said this decision was made proactively in order to effectively manage water resources in response to diminished snowpack levels and a summer that is predicted to be hot and dry. 1st Kimberley Scout Group remove car wreck from river bank at Camp Stone

SUBMITTED On April 27th and 28th, 2024 the Beavers and Cubs of the 1st Kimberley Scout Group (1KSG), along with Scouters and parent volunteers, braved the on-again-off-again spring weather in the forests of Camp Stone to complete an Earth Day project they have been working on since the beginning of April – the removal of an old car wreck that had washed up on the bank of the St Mary river.
