Six-vehicle collision closes Castlegar’s Kinnaird Bridge, sends four to hospital

A six-vehicle collision on Castlegar’s Kinnaird Bridge sent four people to hospital and closed Highway 3 for about seven hours Friday afternoon. The Castlegar Fire Department, RCMP, BC Ambulance and KERPA (Kootenay Emergency Response Physicians Association) all responded to the incident that began around 2:15 p.m. Fire Chief Sam Lattanzio reports that six vehicles were involved, each one with one occupant. Castlegar-area woman sentenced for second drug trafficking conviction

A Castlegar-area woman convicted of 2020 drug trafficking charges has entered a guilty plea for new charges stemming from an Oct. 25, 2023, arrest near Scotties Marina. Robyn Poznikoff was first convicted of the 2020 offences in November 2022 and was sentenced to two years of house arrest in July 2023.
