Arizona's largest COVID-19 tester may have to shut down from lack of CARES Act funding
Arizona's top tester of is nearing a shutdown because they say they've received no CARES Act funding from the state, but the lack of funding is seemingly about to change. On Jan. 10, thousands of Arizonans were tested for COVID-19 at testing sites. As the state's largest tester, they can handle up to 18,000 patients a day. The Arizona Department of Economy Security is telling out of work Arizonans that they owe the state thousands of dollars in unemployment money. There are many Arizonans hoping that not only their funds will be reinstated, but that they also don't owe thousands of dollars. Man critically injured in shooting at party in Phoenix
Police say a man is in extremely critical condition following a shooting during a party at a apartment complex. According to Phoenix police, the shooting happened at 3:45 a.m. on Sept. 28 at an apartment complex near 19th Avenue and Northern. When officers arrived at the scene, they found a man with gunshot injuries. He was taken to a hospital in extremely critical condition. Police have not released any suspect information.
