In Memory of George M. Martin
One of the pioneers of modern geroscience, George M. Martin, has left us. He died on December 17, 2022, at 95 years of age, and was a living example throughout his life of what successful aging and health span look like. George’s wit, sense of wonder, generosity, and insightful thinking will be greatly missed. A native New Yorker, George moved west to Alaska at age 19, where he worked on the railroad and played trumpet in a jazz band after serving in the U.S. Navy.
