DES MOINES, Iowa (KCCI) - After making the ultimate sacrifice, two Iowa Police Officers are being honored, KCCI reported. Officer Phoukham Tran and Officer Kevin Cram will be the two newest officers in the Iowa Peace Officer Memorial. Officer Cram was shot while attempting to make an arrest last September. He died of his injuries. Cram worked in law enforcement for 10 years. He worked for the Algona Police Department for 8 of those years.Officer Tran was hit by a drunk driver outside of the Iowa State Fair in 2011. He had to medically retire after the incident.
