Photos have emerged of a tiny mouse deer which was recently born at Bristol Zoo Gardens .The miniscule animal stands at just 20cm (8 inches) tall to its shoulder, the same height as a regular pencil – and the species is known for being the smallest hoofed mammal in the world.Zookeepers don’t yet know the gender of the new arrival, which was born almost a month ago inside an enclosure alongside the the zoo’s fruit bats.Its mother Brienne joined Bristol Zoo Gardens in 2014 from Newquay Zoo to breed with its father Jorah, aged four.
