TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - Law enforcement officers have arrested two suspects in connection with an incident in which a prostitute allegedly lured one of her customers to an “abandoned dope house” after they had sex, so two men could rob the victim at gunpoint.Tanya Rene Gargus, 40, of Hawkins, and Henry Calvin Willis, 39, of Tyler, are both still being held in the Smith County Jail. They were each charged with aggravated robbery. NWS releases details on 2 tornadoes that hit East Texas area on Easter Sunday
TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - An EF-1 tornado hit Shelby County when the storm systems moved through the East Texas area on Easter Sunday, according to the National Weather Service Office in Shreveport.The NWS said that this was the second of two tornadoes that hit East Texas on Sunday. The tornado was southeast of Timpson in Shelby County. It was 30 yards wide and traveled .74 miles. Estimated peak wind was 90 mph. TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - As of 4 p.m. on Wednesday, there were 106 confirmed COVID-19 cases at the Texas Department of Criminal Justice’s Beto Unit in Palestine.That number is up nine from the previous total.There are also six COVID-19 tests pending at the Beto Unit, according to the TDCJ’s COVID-19 website.
