The school district has been a target of criticism by parents who want their kids to return to in-person learning. Now, students within the district will return to in-person learning, in stages. The Governing Board of the  has voted to implement a staggered schedule for a return to in-class learning, which will start in October. The issue of whether to reopen classrooms or stick with online learning has been a controversial one amongst parents. Some people are leaving number twos at some parks in a part of Laveen, and that is leaving residents frustrated. Something stinks in a portion of Laveen. Literally. Neighbors in the area are finding a mess left behind at two area playgrounds. From trash and discarded drugs, to people using the playgrounds as outdoor bathrooms. "He pooped right in the kids' playground, in a sandbox," said resident Colette Zaharko, who lives near one of the parks.
