Her boyfriend, Jeffrey Daniels, the father of two of her children, was arrested and charged with murder.An affidavit from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office shows that Daniels, 36, of Queens, told investigators after he was picked up from the Hackensack University Medical Center that he was arguing with Burns in her apartment Monday night.&nbsp;Daniels told investigators&nbsp;the argument, which occurred around 8:30 p.m., led to when&nbsp;he “physically attacked her and attempted to snap her neck” and then “tried to choke her until she went to sleep,” the affidavit stated.Then according to Daniels, he went to the kitchen and “grabbed a knife and began to stab the victim in the neck area several times.”Daniels then told investigators that he left the apartment with his two children, ages 6 months and 18 months, leaving behind Burns’ 5-year-old daughter. But not before asking neighbors for a ride to West Point, New York, as stated in the affidavit.He was later found by police in Closter while on foot, wearing a jacket and no pants while carrying the two kids, authorities said.Homicide:Michelle Burns:Daniels’ account of the argument confirmed what was previously reported, that a witness heard yelling from the apartment before police found Burns’ body.The account also corroborated what both the victim’s brother and sister told NorthJersey.com in an interview about her sister’s tumultuous relationship with Daniels."It was never a good relationship. It was never a safe relationship," Burns' sister Nicole Boccellari said.Nicole Boccellari said her sister never filed a restraining order against Daniels because she feared he would come back to kill her.Daniels has a previous criminal record.
