A balanced look at the inherent complexities of geopolitical relationships. In this case, and contextually, between the two leaders of the mentioned nations. Well-referenced undergirding as to the background issues regarding the current meeting. Good expository quotes and commentary broaden the scope and depth of the reporting. A light dusting of opinion, easily passed over, which does not detract from the piece overall. A decidedly worthwhile and informative read.

This is an Op Ed, not really much else to say about an opinion piece.

Sometimes I wish that Trump was playing at being ignorant and racist, so he could unite the people against him while forging alliances with unlikely people to better serve the USA...then he twits and I see that he is just crazy.

Stacking the Deck

This is an opinion piece with one-sided quotes chosen to bolster the author's position. Author Linda Feldmann makes it known that she is not a fan of Trump, and I'd say she even exposes a bit of her own naiveté when she and her quoted sources suggest that Trump's "sidling up to authoritarian leaders" and "affinity for strongmen could matter on the margins in next year’s election."
