An extremely superficial examination of a broader and further developing story. Some interesting expository quotes but also rife with speculation. More substantive coverage on this occurrence will be surely be forthcoming in the days ahead. A worthwhile read if only as a primer on the referenced matter.

The article presents the few facts that are known at the moment about the killings. At the end, the piece briefly mentions the nationwide police strike and rise in police officer suicides. I would have liked to have seen more context and figures about the strike and suicides, so it did feel a bit surface level overall.
