An interesting article from the man Bill himself. This had his own personal recollections of a trip to Senegal, in which he describes the top 5 scientific innovations. Bill Gates is very invested in innovating third world countries, and I believe he has a lot of knowledge on these topics. Plus, he was there to see them himself so unless you don't believe his words, it is credible.
