The harassment campaigns allegedly began in May 2016.Ramajana Hidic Demirovic, a 46-year-old woman who lived in San Francisco at the time, went to a 14-year-old boy’s high school and threatened him in front of other students.Documents filed in California federal court allege that Demirovic told the boy that she would “rip [his] f—ing heart out.” &nbsp;The boy had dated a girl connected to Demirovic for a few days in February that year.&nbsp;Nearly five years later, Demirovic, who now lives in Brentwood, was charged in federal court Monday for two counts of conspiracy&nbsp;and cyberstalking in an effort to “sabotage the personal relationships, social reputation, academic life, and work prospects of the teenage victims,” per the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of California. She was arrested last Friday.The charges were announced Monday in a statement from Acting United States Attorney Stephanie Hinds and FBI Special Agent in Charge Craig Fair.The connection between Demirovic and the underage “co-conspirator” remains unclear, but it appears that their close ties motivated Demirovic to allegedly engage in a harassment campaign against three boys from 2016 to 2019.Soon after the initial incident, court documents allege Demirovic began targeting another boy who her “co-conspirator” dated for about two months. In August 2016, she allegedly sent a barrage of text messages, calling him an “awful human being” and telling him that she would file a false restraining order against him in an effort to affect his college applications.Months later, Demirovic and the teen girl reportedly called the boy’s employer and school principal to falsely report claims of physical abuse, drug use and alcoholism. The principal prohibited Demirovic from entering the campus following the suspicious contact.The onslaught of harassment against him continued on Instagram, the documents say. Demirovic, using “taunting” Instagram handles, reportedly teased the boy because his parents were divorced. A selection of the messages read: “Daddy left you so you have to be a f—kup,” “What a sad piece of s—t you are,” and “Do you cry every night because your daddy didn’t want you.”&nbsp;A third victim was targeted in 2018 after he and the “co-conspirator” broke up following a ten-month relationship.Demirovic reportedly contacted that boy’s school to complain in May 2018, which an assistant principal found “strange and worrisome.” But in perhaps the most targeted array of attacks, Demirovic reportedly began to impersonate and harass the boy on Instagram using at least three different accounts. A girl he went to prom with was also reportedly subject to months of harassment.She purportedly contacted thousands of individuals, including family, friends and strangers, using these names to circulate false messages. Using one of these accounts, they allegedly published insults against the “co-conspirator” ex-girlfriend, calling her a “cheating bitch” and a “f—ing whore.”And nearly a year after the relationship ended, Demirovic and her underage affiliate sent Instagram messages to people connected to the boy, falsely alleging “sexual predation.” She also filed a Title IX sex discrimination complaint against him to the school, falsely alleging harassment and stalking.Impersonations of the victim also continued unabated: At least 21 women received messages in March 2019 from the accounts reportedly controlled by Demirovic and the co-conspirator, in which he solicited dates and hook-ups, made “lewd suggestions” and described the boy’s “supposed drug abuse.”The effects on these boys were staggering, court documents say. The first victim “grew anxious, depressed” and began skipping classes and field trips. The second had to change his phone number, lost friendships and continued suffering panic attacks four years after the onslaught of alleged harassment.And the third, who was allegedly subject to years of abuse by Demirovic, had his life altered. Faulty rumors began floating of his impropriety at his college to the point where one student refused to be his roommate. He began suffering panic attacks, and says that her alleged conduct “permanently damaged his personal relationships and reputation.”His parents and younger siblings, also allegedly subject to online and in-person harassment by Demirovic, had to move out the Bay Area due to the ceaseless attacks.If found guilty of these charges, Demirovic, faces up to 10 years in prison and a fine of $500,000. She was released on bond Monday, and is scheduled to appear in court next Tuesday.Bay City News Service contributed to this report.
