George Washington, John Adams, Thomas, Jefferson, James Madison, and James Monroe were founding fathers. John Quincy Adams was John Sr.'s son and a diplomat and secretary of state who negotiated the purchase of Florida, drafted the Monroe Doctrine, and later became a leading abolitionist. Andrew Jackson, William Harrison, Zachary Taylor, and Ulysses S. Grant were war heroes, and Martin Van Buren founded the Democratic Party.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Unfortunately, a later trend has been one of electing men of questionable morals and beliefs who come from sensational backgrounds on sensational platforms. , while surely not on the level of the Founding Fathers, has a fairly impressive background.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Born to a senior economic analyst for the Kenyan government, he was the only president born outside of the continental 48 states. A graduate of Harvard, he became the first black editor of the Harvard Law Review. From 1992 to 2004, he taught constitutional law at the University of Chicago. He also worked as a civil rights attorney and a community organizer in job training, college prep, tenants' rights, and voter recruitment groups. He wrote Dreams From My Father, which was named in the 100 Best Nonfiction Books by Time, and The Audacity Of Hope, which was a New York Times bestseller. He served as a state senator for Illinois from 1997 to 2004 and a U.S. senator from 2005 to 2008.&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;In 2004, he delivered an impressive keynote speech at the 2004 Democratic National Convention, which earned him national praise. He won the 2008 presidential election as well as reelection in 2012, and he was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize as the first African-American president.&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;During his time in office, he pulled the U.S. out of the 2008 recession and passed reforms to stop another; provided affordable healthcare to 25 million people; legalized gay and trans marriage, blood donation, and military service; ended the war in Iraq; normalized relations with Cuba; signed nuclear reduction treaties with Russia and Iran; destroyed ISIS, Gaddafi, Al Qaeda, and Somali pirates; created the most wilderness protected area of any president; entered the U.S. into the Paris Climate Agreement; and nominated three justices for the Supreme Court.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;We have a duty to return this collected and directed type of leadership to the White House.Warrior.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;The Russian government and Russian army is filled with murderers, war criminals, rapists, and all the other forms of scum that walk the Earth. Every Russian soldier killed, every Russian family ripped to shreds is a small victory for the rule of law, for democracy, for prosperity, and for humanity. We've already seen their actions contrasted against the compassion of the Ukrainian people, military, and legal system in a court of law. Within the past 10 days, one man pleaded guilty to war crimes for shooting a 62-year-old man riding his bike in a Russian-occupied city and was sentenced to life in prison while two more pleaded guilty to shelling Ukraine from Russia and face up to 12 years in prison when sentenced. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Since the war began, Russia has had an estimated 30,000 troops killed and 30,000 more injured, deserted, or captured, effectively taking 60,000 troops off of the battlefield out of their initial invasion force of roughly 175,000. This represents approximately 34 p&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Republicans have a history of helping causes they're trying to hurt with overblown, hyperbolic, theatric rhetoric. A prime example was during the confirmation hearings of Ketanji Brown Jackson, when Ted Cruz tried to paint her as racist toward white people (Rafael Cruz is not even white) by holding up children's books teaching something he apparently sees as controversial: racism is bad. When he read those books, sales exploded to the tune of millions of dollars, all of which went toward progressive authors. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;The master of this craft, however, is Matt Gaetz. He made a remark on Twitter about "overeducated women" being a threat to society after the leak draft of the SCOTUS decision overturning Roe v. Wade &nbsp;was released in May of 2022. In response to these abhorrent remarks, activists started a website called overeducatedwomen.com &nbsp;that has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for six different women's rights groups. That wouldn't be the last time M&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;On March 7th, 2022, Guy Reffitt, the first Capitol insurrectionist to go to trial, was convicted of five felonies that could and should send him to prison for up to 60 years. Less than 24 hours later, Proud Boys leader Enrique Tarrio was charged with conspiracy for his involvement in orchestrating the attack on the U.S. Capitol, just a week after Alabama Oath Keepers leader Joshua James became the first person to plead guilty to seditious conspiracy and Capitol rioter and convicted felon Matthew Perna offed himself. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;The conviction of Reffitt is not the last Capitol riot case that will go to trial in March 2022 alone. Otero County County commissioner Couy Griffin, who has also been charged for illegally failing to register his New Mexico-based organization Cowboys for Trump and who had previously threatened to bring a gun to the inauguration of Joe Biden, illegally taken sand from a local national park, and more, will go on trial for trespassing in the U.S. Capitol on January
