I’ve often said that the left has an unofficial motto and they live up to it every second of every day.“It’s okay when we do it” should be written on a plaque above every office held by a Democrat, not for the Democrat themselves, but because every person who walks through their doors, or listens to their speeches, or sees their actions, needs to understand what kind of person they’re dealing with. They should understand that if they trust that person to have a moral stance, then that trust is misplaced. What they say is horrible and unforgivable today is very likely something they will be doing tomorrow.A perfect example is the usage of language. The left seems to make words completely taboo out of the blue very often, yet when the opportunity arises, they themselves will use those same words.Take, for instance, the tale of Nikole Hannah-Jones who, according to the Daily Wire, went nuclear over the usage of the “n-word” from someone else, but who uses it herself:Hannah-Jones’ tweet was resurfaced on Monday in a report by&nbsp;&nbsp;on an internal meltdown by Times staffers over the ousting of Times science writer Donald McNeil Jr. Hannah Jones at first doxed the Free Beacon reporter who reached out to her for comment, then later apparently erased almost all of her&nbsp;&nbsp;history. The Free Beacon captured a screenshot of her tweet before Hannah-Jones removed it from her profile.After a career at the Times spanning more than four decades, the paper’s leadership&nbsp;&nbsp;McNeil on Friday over a two-year-old incident in which he used the racial slur. On a Times-sponsored trip to Peru for high schoolers, McNeil was asked whether a high schooler should be suspended for using the slur in a video made when they were 12 years old. In response, McNeil asked if she had been quoting a song or book when she used the term, using the term in his question.Times Executive Editor Dean Baquet and Managing Editor Joe Kahn issued a memo on Friday saying that McNeil’s behavior was unacceptable and that no use of the term, regardless of the surrounding context, was appropriate.“We do not tolerate racist language regardless of intent. We are committed to building a news report and company that reflect our core values of integrity and respect, and will work with urgency to create clearer guidelines and enforcement about conduct in the workplace, including red-line issues on racist language,” Baquet and Kahn&nbsp;.Hannah-Jones is the founder of the Times’ 1619 Project, which is a national movement to make it seem as if the entirety of the history of the United States boils down to its sin of slavery, and that the real beginning of the nation began upon the arrival of black slaves in 1619.You would think Hannah-Jones, willing to cancel and ruin the life of a man with a storied career over him asking for context behind the usage of a word, would take the usage of the word very seriously herself. However, this was not the case. As the Daily Wire reported, not only did Hannah-Jones use the word, but she used the word while discussing the usage of the word in context:In a May 2016 Twitter exchange, Hannah-Jones committed a similar violation as McNeil while defending a black comedian’s use of the n-word at the White House Correspondents Dinner: “Larry Wilmore did not say, ‘You did it, my n****r.’ Come on, now.” (While Hannah-Jones wrote out the full word, The Daily Wire has censored all but the first and last letters.)In a follow-up tweet, she added, “I did watch and I did read the transcripts. I’m saying you know the linguistic difference b/w n****r and n***a.Hannah-Jones is more guilty than the man she attacked.Will there be any backlash? Will the Times take any action against Hannah-Jones? Will she issue an apology?The answer to all of this is likely “no,” and the reason is simple. It’s okay when they do it.One of the Alinskyite rules is that you have to make the side obey its own set of rules at all times. Make no room for nuance or context. They must obey the rules they themselves set. The right mistakes the idea that the left also lives by the creed of obeying the rules its set for itself too, only they don’t. The left has no rules except “win.” They can lie, cheat, steal, and destroy to their heart’s content, so long as it brings the left closer to domination.The right needs to realize this and fight back accordingly. Don’t expect a leftist to feel shame when they’re caught in an obvious lie. The left will feel no guilt and will simply move onto the next lie.Do not expect them to feel the need to correct their behavior. The only problem with their behavior is that they were caught doing it, and you’ve only taught them to be more careful next time.Hypocrisy is not a thing the left feels shame for practicing.
