Excellent piece by ProPublica. Well-sourced and well-written, providing a wealth of detail and insight. A worthwhile read particularly if one seeks an insiders look into the inner machinations of a very powerful special-interest group.

Great Context

The article provides great context, and details some internal struggles. I would have liked to see some corroboration from North, or Cox, who both recently resigned; however, the article was well written, detailed, and credible.

Very detailed, in-depth, investigative report from a source who worked at the NRA. Uses a balanced tone to show the internal conflicts and funding issues within the NRA - some due to concerning actions by Brewer's legal firm.

Balanced

This is a very balanced piece citing sources from many different parties. Overall, it's a great bit of reporting. I didn't give it a perfect 5-stars simply because I'm not a fan of overusing quotes. I find it sometimes makes a piece harder to read and less engaging.
