This editorial is about what most of the other editorials being written lately are desperately trying to draw your attention away from.
Pointing out the fact that when you're being beat over the head with a (government)club, getting mad at the club and ignoring the person or people swinging it is just plain insanity.
Be sure to watch the little video within the story to help drive home the point that much like any social organization over the centuries, government can be hijacked and used to oppress the many for the extreme benefit of the few.
Caitlin Johnstone is an actual journalist that has no fear or delusions when it comes to the reality we currently live in, and this article proves it.

A very opinionated view about who rules America now that skips over a huge chunk of history and changes to the government to allow for the current status quo.

Terrific and powerful article by Caitlin Johnstone who attempts to refocus Americans' attention on the current ruling class structure. While everyone celebrates July 4th as our day of independence, Caitlin reminds us that we traded one form of ruling class(monarchy) for another(corporate oligarchy). The video is a must watch!
