I understand that this is an ongoing story and so there is not much evidence to provide in the piece, but this is still very surface-level and relies on a few back-and-forth tweets to fill the story. I wish the author provided more context on things like how far along the Tokyo infrastructure is, the number of reported coronavirus cases in Japan, the growth rate of the virus when it arrives in an area, and how soon to the Olympics the decision would need to be made.
