Detroit Free Press Hopes for a rescheduled Movement festival in September have gone by the wayside.Festival organizers announced Thursday they're instead moving ahead with the 2021 edition of the popular downtown Detroit event, scheduled May 29-31.This year's techno fest from its traditional Memorial Day weekend slot because of the coronavirus pandemic, initially rescheduled for Sept. 11-13."During ongoing discussions with our team and city officials, it's become painfully obvious that this year's Movement Festival must be rescheduled to 2021," producers said in a statement emailed to fans. "Obviously this is not the situation that any of us had hoped for, but the health and safety of everyone involved remains our ultimate concern."Existing tickets will be valid for next spring's fest, but refund information will be announced July 10.
