Reads like a CIA press release: 5 anonymous sources, citing zero evidence, and not even the slightest detail about WHAT actual “meddling” even means at this point. Is Russia hacking into election systems? Buying tons of Facebook ads? Flooding the country with spies? Apparently none of those details matter, despite the breathless assurances of impending doom. What’s worse is the article then goes into a massive recap of all the evil things Russia has supposedly already done to date — you know, all the things that have also never been proven despite years of assurances by intelligence agencies that US democracy was “hacked” or that a few Facebook ads mind-controlled enough would-be Clinton voters to vote Trump instead. The final nail in the coffin here is how “former” intelligence agency operatives like John Brennan are now pushing this sensational article in the news to magnify it further.

Complete lack of sources or evidence to support the many sensational claims being thrown around in this piece. You'd think a New York Times story with four authors on the byline would at least offer up one concrete example of Russian meddling/hacking. Also, where are these same reporters when our political process is manipulated by forces like the DNC, big money donors, caucuses, super delegates, voter suppression, etc.
