Quintessential reporting here: firsthand account by a journalist who was a direct witness to (and unfortunate victim of) police restriction of protected press freedoms. Stories like this are critical to report so that the public can be more aware of how current police response is being applied to manage protests, which are at the cornerstone of Constitutionally protected freedoms.
