It escaped from a sanctuary in Larkspur.5:09 PM, Jun 16, 2020AURORA, Colo. —There’s a wallaby on the loose in Aurora, and it’s very likely the same animal that escaped from a farm in Larkspur more than two weeks ago — because Colorado doesn't often see wild wallabies roaming around.The wallaby was spotted Tuesday morning in southeast Aurora in the East Quincy Highlands neighborhood, near Piccadilly Road and Quincy Avenue, according to the Zoology Foundation in Larkspur.The area where the animal was spotted Tuesday is more than 25 miles northeast of where it went missing on May 31 at the Zoology Foundation located at 10554 S. Perry Park Road in Larkspur.The wallaby escaped his enclosure sometime that night and was spotted early the next morning on the park’s property, but it quickly took off as soon as the animal noticed park staff watching it, the foundation said.The park is asking anyone who spots the animal to call them at 303-951-8813.
