A fantastic article outlining the new policy and price-changes for California homes that will soon mandate solar roofs, rather than the previous policy of zero-net-energy homes. This is all an effort to reduce carbon emissions and curb California's contribution to climate change. It's a wonderful step forward environmentally, but it will make home affordability slightly more difficult for most homebuyers.
