The club is currently only open for outdoor dining.On Thursday, a&nbsp;yellow banner hung on the side of a silver car that said “grand re-opening.” At least two large wooden folding tables were set up and people were eating next to the famous club.Satin Dolls closed on March 16 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. On June 15, Gov. Phil Murphy allowed for the reopening of outdoor dining at restaurants with proper social distancing measures.The staff member assured that the tables at Satin Dolls are six feet apart and the restaurant&nbsp;servers are wearing masks.Satin Dolls serves a variety of chicken dishes, steaks, pasta, burgers and beer —&nbsp;typical American pub food. But its real claim to fame is its stint on "The Sopranos."Even after "The Sopranos" ended in 2007, fans poured into the Route 17 club. When actor James Gandolfini, who played Tony Soprano, died, a makeshift memorial sprang up in the bar to pay their respects. It’s also a popular Soprano tour stop location in New Jersey.Dining:The club was closed temporarily in December of 2017 when state authorities said Satin Dolls’ liquor license had to be sold or transferred and live entertainment had to cease because they contended the business was being run by a convicted racketeer who conspired with the Genovese crime family.Satin Dolls' liquor license was taken over by Satin Entertainment, LLC, owned by Joseph Pallonetti of Parkland, Florida.In 2011, a consent agreement required that the liquor licenses for Satin Dolls and its Secaucus subsidiary, A.J.'s Gentleman's Club, be sold and transferred by 2015. However, several extensions were granted.State authorities contended that Anthony "Tony Lodi" Cardinalle of Saddle River was continuing to run the businesses, even though he is a convicted racketeer and is barred from having a liquor license.The transfer stipulates that Anthony, Loren and Luceen Cardinalle, or any entities that they hold, have no direct or indirect business connection with either location. Anthony and Luceen Cardinalle can continue receiving rent payments for the businesses.Satin Dolls&nbsp;reopened in 2018.
