The story underscores the large uncertainties about how the disease spreads and how likely it is to kill. The quoted sources are expert in their field and seemingly up-to-date, balancing necessarily-flakier first reports and judging them against other known characteristics of viruses & epidemics. I wish there had been more instances of how even well-intentioned people have contributed to spread of misinformation, or guidelines for people who can't get 100% of their news directly from WHO.
