A very speculative article

This article is a real world, not partisan, clear eyed review of where the USA finds itself in the world today as compared to the past 30 years. Worthwhile short read on our world today.

What I really want to say is this article lacks the sources needed to back up the many claims made in this article. Speculative, opinionated, and potentially stacking the deck, the author either had extreme knowledge in this topic and didn't do the work to help us understand that, or this is an opinion piece. Either way, I would've trusted had there been sources.
