The Trump administration has filed a lawsuit against John Bolton, former national security adviser, in an attempt to halt the publication of his tell-all memoir about his time working for the president.The highly anticipated book, “The Room Where It Happened”, is expected to be a damning account of Mr Bolton's time inside the White House.The lawsuit, filed by the US department of justice on Tuesday, seeks an injunction, making&nbsp;the argument that Mr Bolton "struck a bargain" with the US "as a condition of his employment in one of the most sensitive and important national security positions" and "now wants to renege" by "deciding for himself whether classified information should be made public."The White House has not yet approved of the draft text of the book, which was submitted for review to ensure it breaches no security rules.&nbsp;Reports have suggested Mr Bolton will publish the book even if the White House does not sign off the text, though it is unclear if the lawsuit will force him to delay its scheduled June 23 release.Mr Bolton has been named as the defendant in the suit, rather than the book’s publisher, Simon &amp; Schuster.The government also wants a judge to give taxpayers the right to Mr Bolton's&nbsp;earnings from the book, amid reports he was given a $2 million advance.&nbsp;The suit in Washington's federal court follows warnings from President Donald Trump that Mr Bolton could face a "criminal problem" if he publishes the book.&nbsp;Chuck Cooper, Mr Bolton's lawyer, has said he worked for months with classification specialists to avoid releasing classified material.
