The author clearly supports a Universal Basic Income, which comes through in the excitement over this Japanese billionaire’s and Andrew Yang’s Twitter based experiments. There is a lot of good context provided in the piece, but it is also the case that there are no criticisms of a UBI mentioned, leading to an imbalanced piece that borders on policy promotion.
