Anna Kendrick has likened the Twilight Saga to a ‘hostage situation’, 12 years after she filmed the first installment.While not as cutting as co-star Robert Pattinson’s feelings on the franchise, the 34-year-old actress hasn’t exactly heaped praise on the filming process for the hugely successful blockbusters.&nbsp;Anna played Bella’s school friend Jessica Stanley in 2008’s Twilight and its sequels New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn Part 1, and while the first movie was a massive box office success, she doesn’t have fond memories of filming.Speaking in a video for Vanity Fair, Kendrick said: ‘The first movie we filmed in Portland, Oregon, and I just remember being so cold and miserable.‘And I just remember my Converse being completely soaked through and feeling like, “You know, this is a really great group of people and I’m sure that we would be friends at a different time, but I want to murder everyone”.’The Pitch Perfect star added: ‘Although, it was also kind of bonding. There was something about it, like if you go through some trauma event.&nbsp;‘Like you imagine people who survive a hostage situation, and you’re kind of bonded for life.’Thankfully, Anna said that during filming on New Moon, the weather ‘wasn’t quite as intense and that was where we got to know each other a little better’.And the actress – who was nominated for best supporting actress at the 2010 Oscars for Up In The Air – did return for three sequels, so we’re guessing conditions improved.While Anna’s main beef was with the Oregon climate, Robert Pattinson, who played vampire Edward Cullen, has been pretty brutal about every aspect of the franchise.He told Vanity Fair in 2011 of the movie: ‘It is weird being part of that – kind of – representing something you don’t particularly like’, and the same year, he told Moviefone that if he hadn’t been in Twilight, ‘I think I am a judgmental and cynical person who would just mindlessly hate it without having seen anything.’The new Batman also called Twilight author Stephenie Meyer ‘completely mad’, telling E! News that the books felt like something ‘that wasn’t supposed to be published’.He said: ‘It was like reading her sexual fantasy, especially when she said it was based on a dream and it was like, “Oh I’ve had this dream about this really sexy guy”.‘Like some things about Edward are so specific, I was just convinced, like, “This woman is mad. She’s completely mad and she’s in love with her own fictional creation.” And sometimes you would feel uncomfortable reading this thing.’Still, the Twilight Saga – also starring Kristen Stewart as Bella Swan and Taylor Lautner as Jacob Black – became a worldwide phenomenon, rocketing its cast to global fame and earning $3.3 billion (£2.6bn) at the box office.And while the last film hit cinemas in 2012, Twihards will get a treat this year, as – the first Twilight book, written from Edward’s perspective.Get us in your feed
