This is one of those rare pieces that not only provides mounds of information but also ever so slightly tugs at the heart-strings. An absolutely beautifully written article which reads as more of a snippet of a longer novel than simple reportage. The Author does a splendid job of bringing this intriguing tale truly to life. Everything, the quotes, commentary, photographs, and links are all duly and brilliantly pressed into the service of telling this lovely story. A decidedly worthwhile read, which brings to mind the following: "Write what should not be forgotten." - Isabel Allende
