Attendees are requested to stay behind the barricades to provide a safe travel location for the procession and to ensure safety of Mr. Floyd’s family.”How to prepare to be a part of the procession? As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, people lining up along the procession route are encouraged to wear masks, maintain hygiene and socially distance if possible.Also, heat will be an issue and officials urge people to take that into account.“Current weather forecasts show ‘feels like’ temperatures reaching 107 degrees and the UV Index is extreme on Tuesday,” Pearland city officials wrote. “Visitors should consider the heat and when may be the best time for them to arrive to the area.
